LWVS hosts annually an early fall membership coffee, a late fall Food for Thought Luncheon, a winter cocktail party, and a spring Annual Meeting and Luncheon. LWVS plans additional speaker events as the opportunity and need arise. Join us for coffee and conversation to learn about the League. Our special guest, Vanessa H. Merton, Professor of Law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and director of the Immigration Justice Clinic of John Jay Legal Services, Inc., will discuss the current crisis at the southern U.S. border as well as various aspects of immigration, including asylum.

Mimi Rocah is a Legal Analyst for MSNBC and NBC News, the current Distinguished Fellow of Criminal Justice at Pace University Law School, and a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. She will provide her perspective and insight on questions surrounding the rule of law, criminal investigations, equal justice and the U.S. Constitution that dominate the current cultural and political conversation.
