Written in the wake of the 2016 election, this short 128-page book uses the collapse of 20th century European democracies as a warning and guide to resisting America’s turn towards authoritarianism. With upcoming midterm elections on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, now is the perfect time to discuss how to recognize threats to our democracy and what we need to do to preserve our freedoms in the years to come.
