LWVS Annual Dues for Membership Year 2026-27 are valid July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

Membership Dues Categories*

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS:

Individual Basic $75.00
Individual Suffragist $150.00 ($75 base membership fee plus $75 contribution)
Individual Friend of the League $250.00 ($75 base membership fee plus $175 contribution)
Individual Minimum $20
Student (high school or college) NO CHARGE (please complete online Student Membership form in lieu of payment)

HOUSEHOLD MEMBERSHIPS (2 adults residing at the same home address):

Household Basic $100.00 (two $50 base membership fees)
Household Suffragist $150.00 (two $50 base membership fees plus $50 contribution)
Household Friend of the League $250.00 (two $50 base membership fees plus $150 contribution)
Household Minimum $40

To pay by check: Membership dues at the Suffragist and Friend of the League levels and any additional contributions may be made payable either

to LWV of Scarsdale (not tax deductible) or
to LWV NYS Education Fund (tax deductible above the $20/person dues amount).

*LWVUS rolled out a new dues structure in 2025. Going forward, membership dues collected will be redistributed in the following percentages less fees: 33% to LWVUS (national league), 47% to LWVNYS (state league), and 20% to LWVS (Scarsdale, your local league). LWVS retains 100% of any donations paid directly to LWVS and 100% of donations on behalf of LWVS but payable to the LWVNYS Education Fund (must be received by LWVS for transmission to the state league). LWVS receives no portion of any donations sent directly to the national or state leagues.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the League of Women Voters, a highly respected and effective grassroots organization, is open to people of all ages and genders. LWVS has a rich history spanning more than 100 years in Scarsdale promoting democracy and political responsibility at the local, county, state, and national levels through voter education, issue advocacy, and the active participation of citizens. LWVS strives to provide clear and accurate voter information, hosts candidate forums, conducts studies and evaluates policies impacting our community, and educates residents about issues. By joining the LWV of Scarsdale, you are automatically a member of LWV of Westchester (LWVW), the county’s Inter-League Organization (ILO), as well as of LWV of New York State (LWVNYS) and LWV of the United States (LWVUS). You will receive their publications along with our eblasts and monthly newsletter called The Bulletin. You will also have the knowledge that you are adding your voice to a powerful force of members from all 50 states, Washington DC, the Virgin Islands and Hong Kong.
