Primary Season Election Update: The redistricting process in New York State is still in flux and this spring’s primary election details are not yet finalized. A court-appointed independent special master has until Tuesday, May 24, 2022, to re-draw certain district maps as a result of recent litigation.
As of the May 10, 2022, federal court ruling, the primary elections for New York State Assembly and for all statewide offices such as Governor and Lieutenant Governor will take place on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, according to the original schedule. However, the US Congressional and New York State Senate primary elections will take place on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
